Dorm Room Sessions: The Full Mixtape

From Jesus’ miracle of feeding the multitudes with a few loaves of bread and couple pieces of fish we learn that through God’s economy there is abundance in scarcity. Sometimes we have to just make it happen with what we have. For the last couple of years, this has been a driving ethos. On a computer equipped with recording software I made a hobby out of crafting songs, remixes and freestyles. Over time freestyles turned into mixtapes and my precious hobby turned into a full-fledged enterprise. This particular collection, actually recorded in my dorm room at Yale Divinity School, is largely informed by the valuable conversations and interactions I’ve had with folks in dorm room settings. I’ve been blessed to be able to start making music in more legitimately professional sites, but to honor God for the journey He’s given me thus far I submit these, my Dorm Room Sessions.
